`Singapore Journey Part 2

On course today~Singapore Journey Part 2.

Reached NACli at 9am, took an early tea break, and off we go on on trail, guided by Mr Edward Lim, Mr Tay Nguan Tong and Mr Shital Dubey. Class hits maximum class size....great!

Our first place of visit-Kranji War Memorial. I was impressed by the sight of this cemetery, the scenery and the atmosphere....give me a peace of mind when standing on the ground.

This is the burial sites for the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of MEN during World War II.
Tablets of soldiers with or without names, Memorial Walls of Soldiers whose bodies were never found filled the place. To think that such a big number of brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during that period, and some who died at such a young age.

This is also the burial sites of our first and second Singapore Presidents.

Our next site visit was at Changi Museum, at this site, stories of how Prisoners of WWII were revealed~one word to describe: INHUMANE!!
Watched the video clips of Mrs Elizabeth Choy, sharing on how she was imprisoned for 193 days. After watching this clips, I could not but hate those Japanese at that time. But quoting Mrs Choy's statement"I don't blame those Japanese soldiers, I put the blame on WAR, it was because of the WAR~ the soldiers were made to obey instructions." She was a very brave lady.

Next, we had lunch at Changi Village, the weather was too hot for comfort.

After lunch, we made our way to PAHQ~~yes! Back to office~~~but this time round not for work but to view the Gallery of PA's history. Come to think of it, today is the first time I had actually stopped and take a closer look at what was placed on the gallery panels.

After that, we moved on to our last venue for the day- The Old Ford Factory. This was the place whereby British surrendered Singapore to the Japanese during WWII. We viewed a video on WWII~ from the invasion to the surrender~~my oh my!! I am really glad that I was born during this time.
